Study of river`s club interior with outstanding view on Bratislava Old town panorama should start by bringing new life to upper deck of the historical boat which was insensitively adjusted with “modern metallic - glass volume”. Reconstruction of the interiors of the whole boat was planned in phases during full operation. We decided to leave this exciting project because of unwillingness of owners to pay us for the first phase – concept variants of the café /bar. The concept of upper floor with terrace comes from the required minimal cost, invasion into the existing constructions or distribution of space and maximal speed of the renovation works and variability of the interior: during day – café, during night – bar, occasional use for the events, parties etc. (drink-bar, smoking room, degustation room etc.). So, the seating was designed variably – small tables, movable light chairs, fixed is only the bench sofa running all from the entrance through the glass folding wall to the terrace on the left side using the panoramatic view. Behind this bench greenery was planted to bring life into the space. The flooring should be unified – teak boards used on the terrace should be the same in the interior of the café /bar. We designed movable modular bar and atypical lightning tables. The main design element was the wavy reflective ceiling running from the entrance wall all over the interior reminding the water surface with paper boats used as atypical lights.
